- The second type of package is ‘turnkey’; meaning you purchase a block of land that already has a new house constructed and is set up for an instant move-in i.e You ‘turn the key’ and move straight in.

One of the main drawcards for house and land packages is the option to finance your development. When you choose your house and land package, it will be one process but two contracts. When financing, there are usually two stages to the process.
The first stage is taking out a mortgage for the land, followed by a construction loan to build the home development. The building loan gets taken out in stages so that you only pay interest on the amount needed at each step of the building process.
