Where did the name Quinns Rocks originate? The name dates back to some of the original surveyors of the area way back in 1867. The suburb is named after the offshore reef first noted during a coastline traversed by an assistant surveyor named after the original surveyor Robert Quin. Note today’s name is spelt with a double “n”.  

Houses for sale in Quinns Rocks are within the City of Wanneroo and is roughly 38 kilometres from the Perth CBD. It’ll take you 30 minutes via Mitchell Freeway to get into Perth City, or just under an hour if public transport is your jam. Just jump on the Joondalup Railway line from Butler Station and you’re on your way.

Residents in Quinns Rocks say the suburb is great for schools, childcare, medical facilities and outdoor recreation. As well as feeling safe and sound, it’s quirky and loved by the locals. It’s ideal for those who love the great outdoors, with plenty of parks, a dog beach, a safe swimming ocean net, surfing spots and plenty of cafes and restaurants to keep you occupied all year round. Whilst there might not be a nightclub nearby, the local pubs are much more fun to get a drink at anyway. 

The population in Quinns Rocks is just over 8,700, with 36 years old the median age of residents. 19% of homes in Quinns Rocks are fully owned and 25% rented.
